Vatajankoski Oy is an energy service company based in Satakunta, Finland. The company’s services include local production of electricity, district heating, and cooling, as well as nationwide heat services. The goal of Vatajankoski Heat Services is to permanently reduce their customers’ energy costs and carbon emissions with solutions that save more than they cost.

Heat services are a growth area for the group. The aim is to achieve a significant market share in the growing market for improving the energy efficiency of buildings. Vatajankoski aims to build a nationwide service capability quickly and profitably. The goal of the new operating model was to build readiness for scaling sales and customer service, as well as the capability to manage growth. The need for a CRM system to support the new operating model was also identified.

Vatajankoski Heat Services chose Kasvu Partners as a partner for the design, definition, and implementation of the operating model. The project ensured the efficient use of salespeople’s time by defining the principles of customer selection and targeting; designed and defined the process spanning the entire customer lifecycle and the qualitatively most important tasks. The goal of the operational planning was, for example, to optimize customer service resources.

Kasvu Partners acted as an advisor in the CRM procurement, conducting a system and supplier evaluation to ensure that the defined processes and tasks in everyday operations were manageable. Kasvu Partners also supports Vatajankoski Heat Services in the implementation and leading of the new operating model.
